Summary of Dreamwalker- is a game jam project that takes you on a young mans journey as he tries to escape his dream so he can wake up and get ready for his brand new day. It is a 3rd person single player creation with mild combat and obstacles to stop you from leaving.

Role Overview- In the start of the project my team mates asked me to get the base of the player done, to include movemnet and camera. After I was finished we decided on the game to create and the primary mechanics we wanted to use. After Mechanic was set in place I turned my attention to the UI/UX portion of the project.

I developed:

- Character Controls 

- Movement Functions to include walk/run/dash

- Diamond score counter via UI/UX and Blueprint Scripting

- Widgets to include Pause Menu/Credits Screen/Main Menu 

Project Takeaways

As this was my first game jam I did not know what to expect, however, it had many lessons learned experiences as this project taught me the importance of communication in a fast paced technical world, and how important project managment is. The team over-scoped the project which caused us to NOT meet the turn in time. My next game jam I will be better equiped to help my team out with the knowledge gained with this one.
